Special thanks to Fred Baxstrome for assisting with handling. The two times Fred has shown Dea has resulted in a group first and a Best in Show! Fred always brings out the best in Dea. 

LOOKS!   Dea is 22" in height and 77 lbs in lean condition. She has excellent bone, a beautiful head, great topline and angles, and the correct otter tail. In just 3 weekends Dea finished her championship. At six months old she entered her first two shows and won two best of breeds over male champions, a group second, and two best puppy in group.  To finish her championship she received a group first under renowned Labrador breeder and judge Dr. Michael Woods with an entry of 11 Labradors--all males (4 special males including a multi best in show winner). Dea also has a Best in Show under Betty McHugh. 

BRAINS!   She is proving herself in the obedience ring as well. She completed her CD in four trials with a second in class. As well she received a highest score in a sanction match. She is presently working towards her CDX and have completed her first two legs towards her CDX with a High in Trials in both legs.

TEMPERAMENT:   Dea has a fantastic personality and is extremely affectionate to all people, especially children, and to all puppies. She has a quiet disposition and loves to play.

Dea won the Atlantic Labrador Retriever Club's CEDARWOOD  BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX award for 2003 for top show female!!!

Dea is retired from our breeding program but continues to enjoy the luxuries of life as a part of our family!!!!!
